Who we are
Founded in 2013, by Mia Leroux (who was 8-years old at the time), Looms for Love is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the importance of community service and the values of caring and compassion with other kids.
Our focus began with empowering kids to spread cheer in hospitals and nursing homes throughout Rhode Island and quickly spread across the country.
In 2013, we distributed just over 35,000 bracelets and cards
to hospitals & nursing homes in 8 states.
Looms For Love kids create, collect and share hand-made cards and crafts. We began by distributing hand-made cards & rainbow loom bracelets to hospitals and nursing homes.
Mia's philosophy is simple -

In just 6 years we've worked with over 200 local organizations and empowered over 100,000 children to do
local community outreach.

Our First Project
We made hand- made crafts with kids in Barrington, RI to give to residents at 4 Rhode Island area nursing homes.
October 4, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. We were at Nayatt School making bracelets and cards with students in the MAC Blue classroom.
Mia's initial goal was to collect 150 bracelets (one for every resident) in her grandfather's nursing home.
